Feria de las Flores 2026: The Complete Schedule and How to Stay Connected

Feria de las Flores (the Medellín Flower Festival) is the city's biggest event of the year, and there is almost no English-language coverage of the official 2026 schedule. This guide translates the City of Medellín's own program — parade dates, free concerts by neighborhood, flower markets, and nightly shows — and covers what the crowds and street closures mean for your phone signal.

The short version: hundreds of thousands of extra visitors packed onto a handful of parade routes and plazas stresses local networks and closes the roads your Uber would normally take. Feria de las Flores 2026: dates and what to expect

The 69th Feria de las Flores runs Friday, July 31 to Sunday, August 9, 2026. It is Medellín's answer to Carnival: more than 200 events across the city, over half of them free, built around the tradition of the silleteros — flower farmers from the mountain village of Santa Elena who carry enormous floral arrangements on their backs.

The big parades

These are the four headline parades, all run along Avenida Regional and the main downtown corridor. Expect the surrounding streets to close from early morning and crowds to build for hours beforehand.

Free neighborhood concerts (tablados)

Every comuna and corregimiento gets its own free outdoor concert during the festival, with confirmed artists including Jorge Celedón, Piso 21, Francy, El Combo de las Estrellas, Elder Dayán, Ricarena, El Tropicombo, and John Alex Castaño performing across the series. Why connectivity matters more during the festival

Feria de las Flores concentrates an enormous number of people into a small number of streets and plazas for hours at a time. That has three practical effects on staying connected:

• ·Parade routes and surrounding blocks close to traffic from early morning — your Uber pickup point will move, and you need live navigation to find it.
